BOUNDARY COMMISSION PARLIAMENTARY REVIEW

The Boundary Commission for England has now completed its review of English Parliamentary constituencies. In Lancashire, the proposal is to reduce the number of MPs from 16 to 14.

For Hyndburn, the proposal would remove the area of Rossendale that is currently included in the constituency and reshape the boundary to bring in parts of Padiham. It also proposes a change of name for the constituency from Hyndburn to Accrington. The MP for Hyndburn is Graham Jones who represents Labour.

The consultation period ended on 11th December and final recommendations will be put to the Government in September 2018.
