Cllr Ken Moss said, "We see a lot of complaints about this on social media but people really should inform the police. Local Councillors have no powers to stop this so if anyone does have any information or a name please contact 101 and report it. It is 100% certain that nothing will get done if the police aren't aware of it."
He added, "The other thing that people must do is remove their valuables. All too often we find that wallets, laptops and phones are left on display and tools are left in vans overnight. Opportunists will think nothing of breaking in and stealing what is on offer."
