Cllr Ken Moss said, "We are currently finalising plans for the festive season and trying to do things which will last for generations but there are people in Rishton who think it is a bit of a laugh to wreck whatever is put in place. The damage at Parker Street can probably be straightened out but that's not the point. I'm sending out a plea on behalf of everyone in Rishton to stop vandalising our Christmas trees because we can't afford to replace them, it's that simple."
