LADYBIRD GARDEN MAINTENANCE

Rishton Area Council has just renewed the contract with Nurture to maintain the Ladybird Garden on Chapel Street. The garden was created using Area Council funding in 2002 and does not fall within the grounds maintenance schedule of the Parks department at HBC so is funded locally each year.

The contract is £589.00 annually and the decision was made many years ago to use a Rishton firm. Nuture (formerly Park View Nurseries) also donate hundreds of plants and flowers each year to the Rishton Prospects panel and these can be seen in various planters around the village during summer.
