The bus shelter on Blackburn Road was knocked over on 17th March 2014 and was witnessed by a resident who posted photographs online. These photographs have now been forwarded to Rishton County Councillor Miles Parkinson who has contacted the relevant department.
Bus shelters are maintained by Lancashire County Council and this particular shelter has been damaged several times by unknown culprits in recent years. It is hoped that photographic evidence will be enough in this instance to track down the lorry driver who is apparently responsible.
