The Walmsley Arms on High Street has just reopened following a major refurbishment. A complete refit of the windows, decoration, bar and furnishings have transformed the pub and given a clean, modern look to the interior whilst enhancing some of the original features.
Photos of Rishton history adorn the walls and the beer selection has been expanded, including two new hand pumps for real ale. The pool room has now moved to the front of the pub and there are lounge areas in what was previously considered to be dead space.
Landlady Hayley O'Donnell was very pleased by the work that Thwaites Brewery have put in to improving the pub and her brother-in-law has refined the meal options to give a wider choice of quality foods to the public. Curry-and-a-pint night is starting on Wednesdays for just £5.95 and there is a new 'Two meals for a Tenner' section on the menu.
