Two new dates for forthcoming Rishton Area Council meetings have now been confirmed, the next one being on Thursday 28th June at the Conservative Club on Cliff Street. This public meeting is open to all residents and starts at 7.00pm, with an approximate finishing time of around 9.00pm. Flyers will be distributed around the village and a letter will be hand posted by the Rishton Councillors to as many houses as possible over the next few weeks.
Greater emphasis is being placed on the Open Forum section of the meeting, something which was very successful at the last meeting in Free Gardeners Club. Rishton County Councillor Miles Parkinson will also be in attendance to answer questions and local community groups will be asked to contribute news updates of their activities.
The following meeting will take place on 18th October at Rishton Cricket Club at 7.00pm.
