Clare said, "I am absolutely delighted and honoured to be given the opportunity to hold a portfolio and be a Cabinet member on the Council. I am looking forward to what will be a challenging but rewarding year and will try to focus on resolving housing and regeneration issues in Hyndburn. My priority in Rishton is to tackle Spring Street, it is still has some of our worst housing problems."
