The Rishton Festival 2012 will take place on Saturday 7th July and the theme this year is Alternative Olympics, with residents invited to dress up in any sort of sporting or national dress for the event. The picture above is from last year's Festival with former Mayor Collette McCormack and organiser Chrsitine Hammerton (as Snow White).
The procession will start at 10.30am from The Rishton Arms on Station Road and proceed to Norden High School where many stalls and activities will be set up. In the event of poor weather the Festival will be moved inside the school buildings. For further information please contact Cllr Clare Cleary or Cllr Ken Moss (who will be compere for the day).
