NEW SENIOR POLICE OFFICERS

Cllr Ken Moss and County Cllr Miles Parkinson attended a meeting with the new local senior police officers on 26th June at Great Harwood Police Station to discuss serious matters in Rishton. Inspector Chris Saville and Chief Inspector Joanne McHugh took over their new roles in April this year and called a meeting with the councillors from Rishton, Great Harwood and Clayton-le-Moors to find out about more serious issues that are affecting the Three Towns area. Flagged up for Rishton were metal thefts, break ins at the allotments and the procedure for logging crimes internally at Great Harwood.

The meeting was very useful for all concerned and the Chief Inspector arranged for meetings every three months from now on to keep abreast of matters to try and aid the police during a time of severe cutbacks.
