The Rishton Festival Committee have been awarded £330 by County Councillor Miles Parkinson from his annual member's grant allowance.
Cllrs Clare Cleary and Ken Moss took over the running of the Festival Committee earlier this year due to a lack of volunteers and applied to Miles for grant funding.
Cllr Cleary said, "It costs in excess of £1,300 per year to put on the Festival and that involves a lot of fundraising. We've held bingo sessions which have raised over £400 and we receive donations to top up the stall fees but every little helps."
Cllr Moss said, "We want the Festival to continue but it is hard work for everyone involved. This grant funding will ensure that the 2016 Festival goes ahead in style!"
The Festival takes place on Saturday 2nd July and the theme is 'Figures From History'.
