CLIVE MAYOR WALKS FOR CANCER CHARITY

Rishton resident Clive Mayor is undertaking a sponsored 60 mile walk along the Leeds-Liverpool Canal for Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund. He has been actively involved in trying to improve Rishton for several years, including organising the Victorian Fair in 2012.

Clive said, "My sponsored walk starts on 21st May 2016. I am walking from Rishton to Liverpool, returning each day to Rishton and continuing from where I finished the previous day. Fingers crossed I will complete the walk in four days. Being in my 79th year it's a challenge but we have a long-time friend with this cancer so please wish me luck!"
