There has been another spate of burglaries across Rishton due to thieves trying doors to see if they are locked. Cars and other possessions have been stolen in the past week and Rishton appears to be a target area.
Cllr Ken Moss said, "We've seen this so many times before and it is what the Police refer to as 'Hanoi' crimes. People leave their front doors unlocked so opportunists sneak in, take car keys or valuables and are away before the victim even knows anything is wrong. The message is clear to keep your doors locked even when you are at home."
