FLOWER PLANTER RELOCATED AT LIBRARY

The flower planter at the Library has been moved away from the wall following a request from the librarian.

It was originally placed by the defibrillator as complaints had been raised that people could walk into it as they were passing and hurt themselves but youths have been using the planter to climb onto the Library roof and this has caused considerable damage to the building. Bottles and cans have been pushed down the drainage spouts which have blocked and caused the interior ceilings fill with water and burst. It has also weakened the structure of the flat roof.

Anyone with any information is urged to come forward and people are requested not to climb on the roof as it is not considered safe to do so.
