HBC RISHTON PHOTO COLLECTION SAVED

As part of the rationalisation of the office space at Hyndburn Borough Council, many items which are no longer needed are being discarded to make room at Scaitcliffe House. Among the papers which were due to be junked were many photographs and negatives which were taken for reference several years ago and these have been rescued from the skip by Cllr Ken Moss.

Many photos from around Hyndburn have already been given to the various civic societies in the borough but all the Rishton material is now being scanned and archived for posterity by Cllr Moss. A selection of the first scans are now available through the Rishton First Facebook page and will be duplicated on the Rishton Website Facebook page.
