Team Rishton were once again joined by Hyndburn MP Graham Jones this weekend as campaigning continues for County Councillor Miles Parkinson to be re-elected as the Rishton, Altham and Clayton-le-Moors representative.
Voting day is on Thursday 2nd May this year and cards have been sent out to all residents with their voter numbers on. You do not need this card to vote, if you lose it you can simply turn up at your nearest polling station to cast your ballot. Only 23% of residents vote in local elections and the Rishton Councillors have been trying to increase this number over the past few years.
Postal voting is an easy way of casting your ballot and there is still time to apply for a form before papers go out in mid-April. Postal voting registration forms have been left in The People's Centre and Rishton Library and are available to all residents.
If you have any further queries regarding the forthcoming election then please get in touch with any of your local Councillors using the contact details in the Links section on the right hand side of this blog.
