RISHTON AREA COUNCIL OPEN FORUM SHEETS

A series of Hyndburn Borough Council forms are now available from Rishton Library and The People's Centre with which residents can interact with HBC and report problems in the village.

Open Forum sheets give people the opportunity to officially ask Rishton Area Council about specific problems and have them answered in public at the next Area Council meeting (provisionally scheduled for early July).

Dog Warden forms are to report instances of fouling across Rishton and anonymously point the finger so that investigations can be undertaken to punish those who allow their pets to foul.

Postal Voting application forms are also available for those residents who would prefer to receive their ballot papers by post rather than have to find time to go to the polling stations on election day. There is still time to register before the papers are sent out on 21st April.

Other facilities are available at Rishton Library such as free internet and an extensive ordering system for new books.

Information folders are regularly updated with details of forthcoming activities across Rishton and advertising is free if you wish to publicise your own event.

The noticeboards also provide free advertising for community events. Regrettably, this has become underused in recent months due to a lack of information forthcoming to the Rishton Councillors but a fully updated online diary is in preparation for going live this weekend so that all upcoming community activities can be found in one place.

To advertise any event for free please contact Cllr Ken Moss.
