Friday 25th January 2013 saw the second annual International Gourmet Night at St Charles School in Rishton. Event organisers Ann Parker and Moira Hodgson said, "We have sold over 200 tickets which is even better than the first gourmet night in 2012. It is primarily a social event but any profits we make tonight are going towards the upkeep of St Charles Church. Eighteen countries are represented here and we certainly hope to do more nights like this in future."
Cllr Ken Moss was invited to the event and said, "I don't think anyone can argue with £7 a ticket for the sheer amount of food on offer to try. This is just another excellent example of Rishton people pulling together and putting on a terrific show."
