HARRY GRAYSON WINS IN RISHTON

Harry Grayson has won the 2012 local election to remain as Councillor for a third 4 year term. Elections were held across most wards in Hyndburn with Labour gaining 5 seats for an outright majority of 23 in the borough, with the Independents retaining 3 seats and the Conservatives reduced to just 9. The ballot was counted on Friday 4th May at Hyndburn Sports Centre and the results for Rishton are as follows:

Harry Grayson (Labour) - 1374
Warren Melia (Conservative) - 553

The Rishton Councillors would like to thank all those who voted for Harry and now look forward to a continued run of working together. A meeting has already been held to discuss ways in which we could improve our work within the village and a public meeting will be held within the next 6 weeks.
