Several meetings and events are taking place over the next week or so in Rishton:
Thursday 2nd June: DARTS & DOMINOES KNOCK OUT
Competition being held at Rishton Free Gardeners' Club on Parker Street from 8.30pm with a finger buffet included for a £1 entrance fee.
Sunday 5th June: ROYAL BRITISH LEGION
Monthly meeting of the Rishton branch of the RBL at The Conservative Club from 2.00pm.
Tuesday 7th June: KNITTER-NATTER CLUB
Meetings are every Tuesday in the Library between 1.30pm-3.00pm and anyone is free to come along for knitting or crocheting. Amateurs or those wanting to learn from scratch will be taught but for more information call Christine Hammerton on 01254 885158 or simply come along to the group.
Tuesday 7th June: PROSPECTS
Monthly meeting at The People's Centre of the Rishton Prospects group to discuss environmental issues and plan working parties to improve green areas in the village. The meeting is open to all residents on the first Tuesday of every month at 7.00pm and lasts approximately two hours.
Wednesday 8th June: SLIMMING WORLD
Slimming World sessions run by Andrea Miles are held every Wednesday at Rishton Cricket Club at 9.30am, 3.30pm, 5.30pm & 7.15pm and weekly subs are £5.00 each.
Wednesday 8th June: POLICE AND COMMUNITIES TOGETHER
PACT is a monthly public meeting with the local police force to discuss Rishton crime issues and notify officers of any problems which are in need of attention. The meeting is open to all residents on the first Wednesday of every month at 6.00pm at The Copperhouse and will last approximately one hour.
