CRIMESTOPPERS

There have been several reports of drug misuse recently across Rishton but residents remain wary of the comebacks of coming forward with information for fear of reprisals.  The local police will always deal with sensitive information in complete confidence but if anyone wishes to report a crime of any nature without leaving their name or details they can do so by getting in touch with Crimestoppers which is totally anonymous.

As more reports are filed against any one particular crime it becomes easier for the police force to intervene and residents are urged to log anything that they feel is a criminal act with Crimestoppers to reduce the amount of illegal activity in Rishton.  Thefts from the allotments, drug abuse on Noble Street and Lord Street and break-ins on Spring Street could have been dealt with more quickly if more people had reported the crimes.

You are not required to leave your name or contact details and all Rishton residents are urged to use this service if they know of any suspicious activity within the village.
