UNION FLAG PROBLEM

Flags were posted over the shops in the Christmas tree brackets for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and also the Olympic Games but unfortunately they have almost all ended up wrapped around their poles, despite weights being fitted to try and prevent this. The flags will be retained for other national events and it is intended that England flags can be purchased for St George's Day but they will be fitted with cord in future to prevent them becoming entangled again.

A permanent 'Reviresco' Rishton crest flag is planned for installation at the new Parker Street flagpole in the near future.
