The house next to St Peter & St Paul's Church has large trees and overgrown foliage which is now impacting on residents on Westwood Avenue. Complaints were lodged with the councillors and this situation will now be investigated by the council.
Many complaints have also been received regarding the number of parked cars at the top of Walmsley Street so Ken Moss and Harry Grayson have been to speak to the people responsible. Safety concerns have been raised by residents over a lack of fire tender access and fuel left in the cars. Assurances have been made that the area will be cleared within the next 7-10 days and the councillors have stated that no further action will be taken within the next fortnight if this is carried out as promised.
The Rishton First blog is now being viewed over 500 times per month and is hopefully proving useful to those who do but if you have any issues that you would like your councillors to look into then please contact Harry Grayson on 01254 889438 or Ken Moss on 01254 882797. If you have any bulky items that you would like to dispose of then Hyndburn Council will do this for free by ringing 01254 388111.
