Flytipping has been reported along the back alleyway behind The Balti House and Use-IT Computers which has now been removed by the cleansing team at HBC. A blocked storm drain has also been cleared and the cracked tarmac along the row of shows reported to LCC for attention.
Cllr Ken Moss said, "The owners of the Balti House are making a real effort to keep the exterior of the property clean and tidy both front and back so it is a shame that people feel the need to dump waste like this and I would urge anyone who has information on flytippers to report it to HBC on 388111."
He added, "Every time we clear something like this it is reducing the amount of Council tax available to spend on better things and our enforcement team regularly hand out fines. If you have any waste cleared and it is found dumped then you will be liable for it so it is worth paying a reputable firm who will dispose of it properly."
