A full list of the results of Hyndburn voting in the EU referendum has been released by the Returning Officer and can be seen in the table above.
In Rishton, a total of 2,789 people voted out of a possible 5,440 electors with 31.19% voting to remain and 68.81% voting to leave. This represents a turnout of 51.3%.
Cllr Ken Moss, who was present for the count at Accrington Town Hall, said, "51% is a slightly disappointing turnout for such a big election, with only around 65% voting in the entire borough. However, the public have given a clear indication that they want to leave the European Union and I'd like to thank everyone who took part. It's been a momentus occasion for the country."
