A bingo night organised by the Switch On Rishton committee at Rishton Cricket Club has been hailed as a success and more will be planned for the future. The event took place on Friday 22nd April and was well attended, with a tombola stall, a Joe 90 draw and a Roll-A-Pound game to win a bottle of whiskey.
Cllr Ken Moss hosted the evening as bingo caller and said, "We're very grateful to everyone who attended and they all seemed to have a good time. The Switch On group have made a far better job of the Christmas celebrations than the Council could ever do so we're happy to support them in whatever way we can."
The event raised £187.50 and this will go into the Switch On Rishton funds for Christmas 2016.
