PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY

A cold snap has brought a flurry of snow to East Lancashire and Rishton saw several inches of snow fall this morning which has led to slushy conditions on the roads and footpaths. Gritters have been out along the main roads but some side streets remain hazardous during colder weather.

Several accidents have already been witnessed across Hyndburn and drivers are reminded to drive appropriately to the weather conditions.
