PARKER STREET CLOCK IN FOR REPAIRS

The face of the clock at Parker Street corner has been removed, leading to some speculation as to its whereabouts and why a photograph has seemingly been put in its place. The Rishton Councillors have asked Hyndburn Borough Council to investigate and a response has been received.

A spokesman said, "The clock face has been removed by our contractor for repair but no picture has been put there in its place. What you can see is the back of a piece of card that was used to block off the rear face, this will be removed shortly."
