A fridge freezer has been dumped in the alleyway adjacent to Mary Street which is blocking access for waste removal vehicles. This is having a knock-on effect for businesses who have commercial waste collections in addition to domestic collections. HBC has been informed and the fridge will be moved shortly.
Cllr Ken Moss said, "It might seem like a little thing but we have to pay staff to stop what they are doing and move a dumped freezer. It all has an impact on services and reduces the money available for improving the borough. We take items like this for free, all people have to do is ring up."
HBC can be contacted on 01254 388111.
