COUNCILLOR SURGERIES PLANNED

More surgeries are planned by the Rishton Councillors in the New Year following successful Saturday morning events in the past. Rishton Library has been approached and this has now been confirmed as a suitable ongoing venue.

Cllr Clare Cleary said, "Attendance at Area Council meetings has fallen over the years as people have found it easier to get in touch with us in various different ways, such as the internet. However, you can't replace a face-to-face discussion and we would like to make that easier by holding more walk-in surgeries."
