A caravan which has recently been parked and occupied on Cliff Street has attracted strong complaints from residents. The caravan appeared over a week ago and immediate requests were made to both the police and HBC to get it removed from the street as soon as possible.
However, before enforcement could take place the caravan was moved to the adjacent allotments which is private property owned by Ingham and Yorke, the solicitors who administrate the Dunkenhalgh Estate.
Cllr Ken Moss said, "I have had daily complaints about this with reports of antisocial behaviour and intimidation of residents who have confronted the owner. Damage would appear to have been done to the perimeter fence of the allotments in order to move it there, it is against the allotment tenancy agreement and I have spoken to Ingham and Yorke to get them to address concerns about it immediately. I would urge concerned residents to phone them directly with details and ensure that the situation is dealt with swiftly."
Ingham and Yorke can be contacted on 01282 771024.
