ASBESTOS AT BRITANNIA MILL

HBC officers are currently dealing with asbestos which was left on site following the demolition of Britannia Mill at the end of Bridge Street.

The asbestos is not understood to be harmful unless it is disturbed whilst people are in close proximity. However, this constitutes a blighted site and is unacceptable from a Council point of view.
