PROFILE 2014: CLLR HARRY GRAYSON

Harry Grayson was elected onto the Council in 2006 and is now Chair of the Planning Committee plus the Chief Whip for the Labour group in Hyndburn. A new raft of appointments have now been made following the Council AGM and Cllr Grayson now has many responsibilities.

Harry said, "As an established Rishton Councillor, I am delighted to have been appointed once again to a number of 2014/15 Council committees. It also gives me great pleasure to have been elected to a number of charitable outside bodies and committees. I feel privileged to represent these positions whilst pledging my support to the ward I proudly represent."

Cllr Grayson will sit on the following Council committees:

• Chair of Planning Committee
• Chair of Standards Committee
• Panel Member of Overview and Scrutiny Resources Committee
• Panel Member of Regeneration  and Housing Committee

He has also been appointed to the following outside bodies as an HBC representative:

• Chair of Rishton Charities
• Chair of Three Tier Forum
• Prospects Management Committee
• Local Health and Safety Forum
• Homeless in Hyndburn Forum
• Foxhill Bank Management Committee
• West Pennine Area Management Committee
