In total, 772 postal voting forms have been issued in Rishton but up to now only 446 have been returned (57.77%) and this is approximately 10% down on the same time last year. Voters are urged to return their ballot forms and make use of their vote.
In previous years it was customary for any postal voting forms that were found in post boxes on polling day (22nd May this year) would be delivered by Royal Mail in time for counting but this costs HBC £1,000 per ward and so the practice is being scrapped this year.
If you still have your postal voting cards on election day you can hand it in to any polling station and they will be included in the count.
