SCRUTINY OF DILAPIDATED PROPERTIES

As part of an ongoing clampdown on dilapidated houses through the Regeneration and Housing Panel, several properties in Rishton are now in the process of being looked at in depth:

• 101 Spring Street
• 103 Spring Street
• 58 Spring Street
• 82 Spring Street
• 1 Shuttleworth Street

All of these houses are in a very run down condition and are a detriment to their particular area. Enforcement officers are placing strong pressure on the owners to get them back into use or face stiff penalties.

Other properties within Rishton are known to be below standard and all of them will be addressed by Councillors in due course.
