CRIB BACKDROP REPLACED

The backdrop image for the Rishton crib has now been replaced and is on display outside the Library. The backdrop is made up of several images put together by local schoolchildren in 2010 but was damaged in storage after Christmas 2011. The Rishton Councillors instructed that a replacement backdrop should be printed using the same image and this has now been installed. The perspex front of the crib was also vandalised in 2012 and this too has been replaced.

The blessing of the crib will take place at 6.15pm on Friday 29th November outside the Library. The annual Christmas switch on will take place at 6.30pm at Parker Street corner, which coincides with the Rishton Free Gardeners Christmas Fair.
