DUMPED MATTRESS ON HOWARD STREET

A mattress has been dumped in the back alleyway behind Howard Street and was reported to Rishton Councillors via the Rishton First Facebook page. This was quickly dealt with and removed less than 24 hours later, along with a cleanup of the back alleyways close to Danvers Street.

Residents are urged to report anyone they see or know is flytipping to one of the Rishton Councillors, providing as much detail as possible (ie. date, time, registration plate of vehicle if applicable, name of culprit) and this will all be treated in confidence.  Several large fines have been handed out recently thanks to information gathered from the public.
