Lancashire County Council no longer has a specific funding pot for this type of work so dropped kerbs are now usually externally funded but it is hoped that due to the number of elderly and less mobile residents who use that stretch of footpath that money can be found in this instance. Nothing has been confirmed as yet but the Rishton Councillors will continue to work with LCC officers to hopefully find a swift resolution.
