RISHTON CHARITIES

The annual meeting of the Rishton Charities board will be held shortly and Cllrs Harry Grayson and Clare Cleary are both trustees. The trustees would be pleased to hear from any person or organisation in Rishton whose circumstances meet the objectives of the Rishton Charities as set out below:

RISHTON RELIEF IN NEED
To help either generally or individually persons resident in Rishton who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress by making grants of money or providing or paying for items, services or facilities calculated to reduce the need, hardship or distress of such persons.

RISHTON RELIEF IN SICKNESS
To help persons resident in Rishton who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped or infirm by providing or paying for items, services or facilities which are calculated to alleviate the suffering or assist the recovery of such persons in such cases but are not readily available to them from other sources.

THE GEORGE LAWES MEMORIAL FUND
To help the maintenance, education and/or advancement and/or otherwise for the benefit of poor and deserving children of Rishton below the age of 21.
