Following complaints from residents to local Councillors, a speed team (led by County Cllr Miles Parkinson) have been out and about in Rishton this week. Areas of concern have included Blackburn Road and Walmsley Avenue which have both been noted for targeting and several penalty notices have now been issued as a result of this exercise. It is intended that more teams will be deployed in Rishton to try and deter speeding.
