Work has begun on installing a series of dropped kerbs in Rishton, with most of Spring Street now complete. The new kerbs are designed to assist people with limited mobility and prams and make it easier to cross the roads. The Rishton Councillors have received requests for more dropped kerbs along Harwood Road and Blackburn Road and these will be submitted to Lancashire County Council to be requested for the next round of works.
