The Rishton Labour branch have selected Cllr Harry Grayson to once again be their candidate in the 2012 local elections.
The forthcoming Rishton election will decide who looks after the interests of the village alongside the two existing councillors, Ken Moss and Clare Cleary. Rishton’s three councillors are part of the thirty five representatives on Hyndburn Council and each councillor is voted in for a four-year term. Harry Grayson won a by-election in 2006 and was re-elected in the 2008 election but is keen to win a third term and continue to be a strong voice for Rishton.
County Cllr Miles Parkinson is due for re-election in 2013, Cllr Ken Moss in 2014 and Cllr Clare Cleary in 2015.
