SCRAP METAL COLLECTORS

The spate of metal thefts across Rishton and the rest of Hyndburn continues and the Councillors are working with the police to track down those who are trading illegally.  Some vans have been stopped and found to have all the correct documentation but others are simply trawling the streets and back alleys and taking metal items from back yards without consent and the public are urged to report as many instances of theft as possible. If any resident sees activity which they consider to be suspicious then please contact the Rishton Councillors with a reasonable description of the vehcile (including the licence plate number) and a date and time so that this can be forwarded to the local police officers for investigation.
