The cracked pavements on Westwood Avenue have now been referred to Lancashire County Council and a request has been made to tarmac the rest of the walkways.
Ken Moss also looked into the planning requirements for a post box to replace the one on James Street and discovered that no planning is necessary  Objections were raised to placing one by the corner Spar shop so it has been suggested to the collections manager that the site of the old telephone box at the corner of Holt Street would be a suitable spot.
