ST PETER STREET GARAGE SITE DUMPING

Several residents have complained once again about the state of the garage site at St Peter Street. The area has long been untidy, with many of the garages in poor repair and in some cases destroyed altogether.

Cllr Ken Moss said, "The garages are owned by Ingham and Yorke who manage the Dunkenhalgh Estate but to be blunt they could do with spending a bit of money tidying the place up a bit. The site at Commercial Street is no better and the flytipping and overgrown vegetation doesn't provide a great view for the surrounding houses."

The Rishton Councillors have written to Ingham and Yorke (emails to admin@inghamandyorke.co.uk) to ask them to improve the sites.
