Cllr Clare Cleary, who lives only a few doors away from the shelter, said, "This is pretty shameful behaviour. Money is being spent on improving services for Rishton and the mindless few just have to try and spoil it for everyone else. I have reported it and it will be repaired but that costs more money, public money, our taxes."
Anyone with any information as to who has done this should get in touch in confidence with either the Rishton Councillors or the police on 101.
