The next meeting of the Rishton Prospects panel will take place at The People's Centre on Tuesday 7th February at 7.00pm. The panel take an active interest in the green areas of the village, regularly forming working groups to tidy up flower beds or cut back overgrown shrubbery (among other things) to make Rishton look better.
The Prospects group have also been working with British Waterways to adopt the Rishton section of canal in an attempt to maintain it to a higher standard. Members were presented with a certificate in January and also tidied up the corner shrubbery underneath the canal bridge.
If anyone wishes to join the group or find out more then all are welcome to come along to the meeting on Tuesday.
