Cllr Ken Moss has been quoted in the Lancashire Telegraph in an article regarding Britannia Mill and the row of derelict houses between 88-100 Spring Street. The past month has seen several arson attacks, some so severe that the smoke has drifted into other wards and been commented on by residents in Great Harwood, Clayton-le-Moors and even Church.
Despite repeated calls for intervention by Ken Moss and Harry Grayson, there has been a lack of effort by the controlling Conservative group at Hyndburn Council. As it stands, the buildings have all had enforcement notices served on them for either demolition or refurbishment but as yet they have not been acted upon.
